Lake Asbury Baptist Church is a friendly, Bible-believing fellowship that seeks to speak truth in love.

We want the love that Christ showed to flow out of our lives, impacting the community and building each other up in the faith. We come from all different backgrounds, cultures and stories but are united in the pursuit and worship of Christ. 

Above all else, we want to glorify God.

I’m Matt, husband to Becky and dad to Ben, Drew and Rachel.  I’ve been involved in ministry since I was fifteen.  I love missions, mentoring and can’t wait to return to Israel in the not-too-distant future.  My favorite part of the ministry is seeing people respond to the Bible in a new light.

Tim Downing is a native of Green Cove Springs, graduating from Clay High School in 1979. He began serving the Lord in music ministry as a youth in 1976 and started leading worship at a local church in 1986. He also served as Youth Director and Youth Minister for ten years. Tim surrendered to the ministry and was ordained in 1994. He obtained a Masters Degree in Music from Logos University in 1999.
 

Tim and wife, Theresa met at a local church and were married in 1993. Together they have served the Lord in Youth and Music ministries.

Amy Trahan

Minister of Children & Office Management

I’m Amy and though I will always be a Louisiana girl at heart, I have called Clay County home for the past 30 years. My husband (Chad) and I have been blessed to call LABC our church home for 18 years now. I am the Office Ministry Assistant but my primary calling at LABC is that of Children’s Director. My greatest joy in ministry is to help the most precious ones in our congregation, the children…HIS children, understand how much He loves them and see them respond to Him with soul saving, life changing faith. And though my peer group is mainly those age 12 and under😉, I also love building relationships with God’s older children and serving alongside them to reach our community for Him.
