  • February of 2006 was our first foreign mission trip as a church, which took us to the small Island nation of Haiti. Four men from LABC teamed up with two other churches (Fleming Island Baptist and Sonshine Baptist) to do a multi-mission event which consisted of construction, VBS, and a sports mission there in that little town of Turbe, Haiti. It was truly an incredible week of hard dirty work helping the orphanage/church build a wall of security around the property. The block wall surrounded about a four acre compound and stood about 10' tall. The "Wall Project" began a number of years ago as a Black Creek Baptist Association mission endeavor. It was pretty awesome that God allowed our church to be a part and to see a mission dream come to fruition.

  • Our second foreign mission trip took us to another part of the world, Brazil. In October of 2007 five men from LABC along with four folks from Jones Road Baptist set out on a nine day mission adventure to the little county seat town of Iracema, Brazil. The purpose of our going was to help the pastor of a new Southern Baptist Church reach his community. We conducted door to door Evangelism, children and adult discipleship, and led a four night revival. Not only did we get into homes but were invited to speak in the local school and the Junior College. The days were long and hot there just north of the equator, and our mode of transportation was to walk...but it was so worth it. We were blessed to see over 300 decisions for Christ.

  •  Our third foreign mission trip took us to the state of Rodonia, Brazil; which took us over 18 hours of travel to reach our ministry destination. In September of 2008, twelve folks from LABC set out on a nine day mission adventure to help a little church plant in the outskirts of Porto Vehlo, Brazil. The purpose of our trip was to help the interim pastors of a new Southern Baptist Church reach his community. Our mission was to come alongside faithful church members and helped them conducted door to door evangelism, put on a one day VBS type event for children, and teach adult discipleship. One of the highlights of the mission trip was the opportunity to lead a four night revival, where each of our folks had the chance to participate and share in the events. As we reached the community, not only did we get into homes but we were also invited to speak in the local school and the Junior College. On mission just south of the equator, the days were long, and the temperature was hot...but it was so worth it. We were blessed to see many decisions for Christ and witness the church breakout in revival.
